Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets | Regal

The one with the Basilisk.

Miracle Mile | Alamo Drafthouse

Part of the Alamo Drafthouse Time Capsule 1989.

What I like most about these series is when there’s a movie I’ve never heard of that someone considered interesting enough to include in a review of 1989.

Santa Sangre | Alamo Drafthouse

You can’t talk about Holy Mountain and not go see Santa Sangre

Rocky Horror Picture Show | Southwest Theaters

A lot of the front row seats are all bought up.

The French Connection | Alamo Drafthouse

Great chase scene.

HER DOG SATAN | EastSide Cinema

1991 vampire thriller featuring Austin based musicians in the punk scene.

Sunday 5/5

Steel Magnolias 35th Anniversary | Regal | Flix Brewhouse | Cinemark

Everyone should see this movie.

Grease!- Sing-A-Long | Blue Starlite Central

Makes sense to watch Grease in a car.

A BRIGHTER SUMMER DAY | Austin Film Society

Edward Yang’s 4hr movie about being a kid in Taiwan in the 1960’s.

It’s totally worth the 4hrs.

DIAL M FOR MURDER | Galaxy

Good Hitchcock movie with Grace Kelly and Ray Milland.

Don’t Panic | Violet Crown

Presented by Hyperreal Film Club.

This is why you don’t play with Ouija boards.

Monday 5/6

The Amazing Spider-Man | Alamo Drafthouse | Cinemark | Regal | AMC

Continuation of the Spider-Man re-release.

Now with Andrew Garfield.

Tuesday 5/7

Vanishing Point (1971) | Alamo Drafthouse

This is the best era for car movies.

WITHIN OUR GATES | Austin Film Society

Oscar Micheaux series at AFS.

I’m excited, because when do you get to see this stuff in a theater?

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) | Alamo Drafthouse

Part of the Terror Tuesday series.

They are gonna show every one of these movies.

This is the first one.

Wednesday 5/8

Every now and then you have to watch this movie.

Pineapple Express | Cinépolis

$5 screening of a different pot movie.

ACE IN THE HOLE | Austin Film Society

This one is still relevant.

Mystery Manga #1 | Alamo Drafthouse

Part of the Weird Wednesday series.

They are doing a series of movies based on manga.

Sounds like a good time.

Thursday 5/9

I think the Second Semifinal of Eurovision is streaming on Peacock and it’s the stronger lineup in my opinion.
